Come on then who's been buying golf balls and made us have the advert on the right of the forum?

I just looked at it and read it as 'titlist' but I don't think that's what it actually said.

It did conjure up a wonderful picture in my mind of what you were all doing while I was in bed last night though:)

I don't think it works like that Pat. It's your Googling habits that it responds to. Mine's all estate agents and Greek holidays at the moment.

The first advert that flashed up was for golf. Then 'Emigration cover', insurance? Then ladies fashion! As I have never looked at anything golf related, considered emigrating or bought ladies clothes online or even looked at them, I don't see the link.
I'm going to start watching which ads pop up now. Previously I never even noticed them.

Well I have the golf ad as well and it certainly does not reflect my browsing.

As it happens I also currently have an advert for Paul Smith clothing which does.

I think that I have the ad now because of the browser picking up the thread title.

Big brother stuff .....frightening really what you give away about yourself when you browse....

What are adverts??
 American Golf Advert - Pat
I've never Googled or bought anything golf related but I do have an advert now for e2save mobiles and I haven't been looking at mobile phones either!

Have adblock installed so never see the adverts

Why? Whats's wrong with a few adds and after all this forum wouldn't exist if we all did as you say.

/\

What he said. And it's not as if they're the annoying pop up ones either, nor like the ones on my local newspaper's website where a video advertising something will suddenly start playing automatically should your mouse cursor go anywhere near it. Now that is annoying.

If you have low bandwidth speed and visit websites that have lots of 'heavy' ads it can be useful for many.

I think we should have an advert confessional here .

I'm seeing ads for Premier Inn now so someone is trying to book a dirty weekend away....who is it?

Just noticed The Sock Shop at the bottom of the screen, please tell me you don't go to bed with your socks on, even new ones?

The really frightening thought is that someone is booking a dirty weekend away with you, Pat!

Initially I would not have thought that dirty weekend and Premier Inn appear in the same mind set vey often.

Although maybe......

The MSA ones are nobody's idea of fun but some of the city sites (eg Sheffield) are OK. But we were there for our daughter's graduation.

I'm sure I read somewhere of a series of pornographic films of a particular genre being filmed in what was evidently a Travelodge.

Well if you're on a budget...

I'm seeing an Ergotronic stand-up work desk.

No connection with any of my browsing, which has recently been for spare parts for an early original Kenwood Chef c. 1950.

Well, there's a lot of Russian women in my neighbourhood wanting to meet me.

I'm keeping an eye on the England score and keep getting adverts for mini diggers.
 American Golf Advert - legacylad
It's 'forme' now
Dare I google it? A pic of someone on a push bike. Surely it's not?
Can't be. They're still on it...
