It seems, from the TV news over the last couple of evenings, that if I go for a walk up the nearby hils between midnight and 0400 tonight (in north Leicestershire) I stand a reasonable chance of seeing some Northern Lights. A few Google searches seem to be throwing up conflicting information, but then I have had a beer or three and I'm finding it quite tricky to interpret the data accurately. Anyone care to do it for me? :) Once in a lifetime opportunity and all that. Thanks.
EDIT: best link I've found - bit.ly/pEnbE

Hmmm, according to my weather station the moon rises at exactly 0:00, should make for some good photos if nothing else. Decent practice for the Perseids next week anyway :)
