A GoPro camera that sunk to the bottom of the sea and kept on recording has been traced to its owner after it was incredibly hooked out by a teenage angler nearly a year later.
Despite the device being covered in barnacles, winkles and full of sea water the SD card inside it still worked.

I have one that I use on the bike. I ordered a bag of accessories for it from Amazon for less than a tenner. Included in the bag was a flotation device that secures to the camera to stop it sinking. Very useful ;-)
They are very sturdy mine sits in a pukka waterproof housing - it survives 70mph blasts of water and road filth with no issues.
