 Eid el Fitr - Armel Coussine
Today is the Muslim festival of Eid. I emailed an Iraqi friend wishing him a happy Eid.

He thanked me but said most Iraqis aren't celebrating this year, to show solidarity with the families of 'those who lost their lives'.

They've gone through a lot of stuff, the Iraqis. Tough cats, genial, not above shedding a tear either.

They blame us in part, quite rightly, for the Iraqi nightmare.
