Eye opening and chilling. What effect has these tests had on the Earths crust. Suppose we will never be told.

This planet is supposed to be our home and look what we're doing to it, through the actions of the few,
If you don't look after your home, what happens to it :(
2000+ nuclear explosions since 1945.
21 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide through burning fossil fuels released into the atmosphere *every year*.
27,000 barrels of oil released into the Gulf of Mexico *per day*
Global warming/climate change, devastating earthquakes, extensive flooding, Arctic winters, heat-waves,
drought conditions, crop failure.

Father forgive them, they know not what they do.

Don't worry dog, we have only been around in the blink of an eye of the planets history, sooner or later something much bigger will come along and make a nuclear explosion look like a slight sneeze. And then the planet will carry on as before without us.

I'm afraid you've been born into the madness that is humankind. If there wasn't so many of us around, life could be much more pleasant...

I well remember the original 'Survivors' series on BBC 1 in 1975,
Living in a council flat in S.E. London, the idea of a post apocalyptic world appealed to me in many ways,
It probably explains my move to The Hermit Kingdom of Bodmin Moor :)

The original series was repeated a few months ago - brilliantly made.

Edit: - the link between the original and latter series was the use of Land Rover products.

Problem is, Dog, that we are all the cause. We all want cheap fuel, exotic or out of season fruits in our supermarkets, cars & components built in far away places and without some of the stuff that's been done in our names we would not have the quality of life (?) that we have today.

Absolutely terrifying.

Gandhi said "There is enough for everyone's need but not everyone's greed",
and that still rings true at the beginning of the 21st century
But with the world population increasing by the second ~ www.peterrussell.com/Odds/WorldClock.php
I believe mankind is in for a 'correction' in the not too distant future,
I hope I'm wrong - for your childrens sake but with a burgeoning population, increasing demand for oil, water and food + the continuing economic woes, I think I can at the very least afford to be a tad pessimistic.
