We saw the film this afternoon, a light hearted version of events but as ex skiers we appreciated the sheer guts and determination of Eddie Edwards.

We saw it a couple of weeks ago - somehow before its official release date. I expected it to be a bit naff, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable film. I'm always a bit wary when a film is described as 'a feelgood movie', but this one deserved its 4 star reviews.
I've never been skiing in my life, but I have a fear of heights and that was quite sufficient to convince me of Eddie's daring. There's some great photography too - I loved the bit where the his old mentor comes down the 90m - real edge of the seat stuff.

I hope to see it soon. It takes guts to do that.... Probably easier for the Scandinavians who begin at a very early age with no sense of fear. I've walked up the side of ski jumps in summer, and despite skiing for a few years there is absolutely no way I would ever go down the smallest ski jump.
Respect Eddie

Brilliant film best seen on the big screen.

At least he didn't cheat like some Olympians.
