Nothing pees me off more than Londons Patrick Day Parade. Have a mass fight in a Kilburn pub by all means, but leave the rest of us out of it.

Reminds me that normally I'd be at a motor racing circuit in Florida this week - Paddy's Day, when all the Americans declare they are Irish. It is always an extraordinarily good party though... :-)

I must be in a minority but I steer well clear of this 'irishness' thing. Never ever go in these fake Irish pubs which can be found all over the world. In fact I don't envisage going into any pubs in Ireland either.
All this craic and stuff. What's all that about? Presumably just a sociable atmsphere where humans talk and chat amicably to one another, whether local or visitor. Happens every night in my local (s).
