I support the out campaign. If it is good enough for the Norwegians it is good enough for me.

"If it is good enough for the Norwegians it is good enough for me."
In view of another recently started thread, this is very naughty, Ian.
But nice. I like it!
|
I was about to post 'Support the shake-it-all-about campaign'.
But that would have got me arrested for public indecency.
|
You can't shake what you can't see surely O:-)
|
The argument too leave is a strong one. I have a doubt about these free trade agreements that are indicated we will sign if we leave the EU.

*to leave*
Learn to speekas-da-Inglish before having an opinion.
Thanks.

I support the out campaign...
...because they're mostly too old to support themselves?
|
Is it Cape Town in South Africa.
|
I do not know of any other, fluffy.

>> I do not know of any other, fluffy.
Sure the Yanks will have one, they steal place names willy nilly. Like Paris Texas.
Edit: Yes Capetown California.

Isn't Willy Nilly in Nebraska?
|
How do you have an opinion then if it is Cape Town, South Africa
|
If he's a UK citizen who has lived abroad for less than 15 years, he'll get a vote as well.
|
We should keep the South Africans OUT.
Agreed.
|
At least you agree with yourself, always a good start.
|
No, it's Gotham City fluffy boy.

Decent echoes here in Espana

If we leave can we go back to ten bob notes halve crowns and shillings.
Senior Service siggies.Manchester trousers and Whitworth.
|
>> Manchester trousers
Corduroy, you mean? I had some lovely lime green cord jeans. I think that was before the last referendum. I hadn't thought of blaming the EU for their demise, but now that you mention it...
|
A ten bob note was proper money in my young day. I loved them, nice brown warm things not cold and austere like greeny bluey quids. You could get a couple of joints' worth of decent weed with one if you were in luck and The Man had been round in his modest non-attention-attracting low-powered black jalopy. Ratty teaheads clustering round the secondary points - Spade cafés and restaurants and one or two notorious streets - and griping about the product... Notting Hill in the fifties, just like yesterday (I've forgotten most of what has happened since).
:o}
|
I can think of a few people who are as bent as nine bob notes. Come out! Come out! wherever you are.
|
>>If we leave can we go back to ten bob notes halve crowns and shillings
And "fog in channel, continent cut off" would make sense again.
|
We used to get 240 pence to the pound. Now we only get 100 pence to the pound. However we have had two separate currencies, the old pound now we have the new pound. Id rather have 240 pence and not 100 pence.

We have always had the same pound, We just cut it up differently.

NO! Whitworth spanners never fitted, they were always an 1/8th out.

>> NO! Whitworth spanners never fitted, they were always an 1/8th out.
They fitted Whitworth nuts and bolts of the correct size every time.
And of course Whitworth and metric spanners can both be used on any nut or bolt provided the fit is close enough.
It doesn't pay to be slobbish though, you can ruin the head of a tight bolt and make your life a misery for an unspecified period.
Some rusty wheel bolts on my VW 911 caused a problem once. Borrowed some sockets and a huge tommy bar from a garage. One of the sockets just exploded when subjected to force, but the other withstood two coppers jumping up and down on the tommy bar, bending it severely.
A bit of heat and penetrating oil made the thing shift in the end. The coppers were chuffed, good chaps they were.

Mine is still working perfectly well, dusty and scratched from my left jacket pocket. Why don't we want them?

Ahem; Nokia never made phones in Norway: Finland, a different matter.

Lots of gas.

That is going to make life interesting.

Especially amongst the Harvey-proctors of the Tory Party...
It could be SO misconstrued....
|
"She said Mr Johnson, MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, informed Mr Cameron of his decision by text message shortly before making it public."
Nice, think that shows the level of respect he has for Cameron.
I was pretty sure I was voting to stay in, but Boris might just sway me

I support the IN/OUT campaign. I am starting to get rather confused.
