I had a hired Toyota a few weeks ago with a clutch pedal which I subsequently realised made exactly the the same sound when it was operated as an email arriving on my iPhone.
For quite a while I thought I was getting multiple mails on a journey from an airport to my destination. But I'm a recovering smart phonaholic and managed to resist checking it until I was parked up.

Yes.
Depends where I am - a noisy bar or in the car, often the bass notes cause the vibration bit of the phone - an ageing Nokia - to buzz.
I've experienced it for years.

Years ago, took the kids to Chessington World of Adventure and won a small wind up toy at a kiosk there.
Put it in my trouser pocket for safe keeping and on the way home got very worried about the strange noise that my clutch was making when used.
Turns out the toy was being compressed when I moved my leg and made a mechanical whirring sound!
