Motorhead's Phil Taylor gone - Focusless
Age 61. Nice (recent?) clip of him playing along with 'Ace of Spades':

He hadn't played with them since 1992.

61 eh, getting on then ... 2 years younger than me. We're all on the conveyor belt to the crem, as my late mate Lauri used to say.

I cannot imagine that his lifestyle was conducive to longevity. But he certainly seemed to enjoy his life!

His former boss, Lemmy, is now 70 and has given up Jack Daniel's and Coke because he has type 2 diabetes.

He now drinks vodka and orange juice instead. He really must be indestructible.

I genuinely misunderstood the Coke thing !

You'll be alright Dog. All that fancy organic super food stuff you're eating should keep you going for months yet. ;-)

A strange band Motorhead, for some reason they seem to have a large following in the punk and OI! OI! scene too. I can't say I know a great deal about them despite having a couple of their albums.

Another sad loss for music though.

'Spose I should think about going 6ft under rather than being burnt, so as to give something back to nature, like.

You win some, you lose some, it's all the same to me.

:-(

Second band I ever saw live, Hammersmith Odeon 1987. Pipped for first spot by Anthrax who I saw at the same venue a few weeks earlier. Drove there in my 17-yr old Mk1 Escort (wish I still had it, would be worth a few grand now), couldn't hear the engine firing up after the concert due to the abuse my ears had suffered. Excellent.
