What it is to be young eh? - smokie

As a kid I used to have a large park at the end of the road. We used to get into all kinds of scrapes there, but have massive fun. Climbing some real tall trees, cycling on the frozen lake, cycling much too quick down gravelly hills, fishing, "war games" (err - glorified hide and seek I suppose) etc.

I'm not jealous of the very extreme stuff the kids to do now, but if only this had been around when I was a kid - looks like a hoot... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-33324975

Shudder... I wouldn't dare do it except to save my life, perhaps not even then. A 20ft drop puts the fear of God into me.

which greatly surprised wife and son (who didn't). But of course the ride those Welsh kids go on in the OP has had somewhat less effort put into the safety aspects...
