You need Facebook for the first one, - incredible pictures. Mrs Z at Pathos, Nepal, then this, heavy earth activity it seems. wonder if the bigyun will hit SF / LA, or even if Vesuvius will erupt again, that one is due.

I'd imagined it was too far south to affect flights from Europe to Santiago; silly, really, given the area affected by Eyjafjallajökull (yes, I did have to look that up!)

Worse for people in the immediate area, of course. Bit of a pact with the devil, living near a volcano.

Meant to add, has anyone claimed this for the end of the world yet?

If you question any of the "world will end in 2012" spurts, they all now claim that we didn't understand what they were saying and 2012 was the beginning of the end.

The worst thing about that ash may be the rain. If it rains one cannot imagine the unholy mess, the facility for "mud" slides, and the potential for a hard crust to form.
