We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world; a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human. - James T. Kirk
Goodbye Spock.

I seem to remember that Scotty's ashes were taken on one of the shuttle launches and scattered in space.
I bet in the future, there will be a Starship Nimoy or Space Station Nimoy or Planet Nimoy.
Pity about Shatner. I don't want to see that name emblazoned across a starship in my life time.

I always preferred the Buck Rogers TV show in my youth. I seem to remember he had a tasty sidekick. For want of a better expression.

It was Dr Who for m and his eye candy assistant !

Reminds me of a bit of post- Falklands graffiti.
“What’s the connection between Port Stanley airfield and Mr. Spock’s mother?
They’ve both been stuffed by Vulcans!â€

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leela_(Doctor_Who) - she drove me potty as a spotty youth. AC would have been about 65.

Is she on BBD's list?

MILFS to do. Can't find it now but know I commented yesterday that two were of the Redgrave/Richardson clan were cousins and might count double.

Good looks, short skirts, fine pair of fruppknees, dusky accent AND the first person ever to use a blutooth earpiece?
It don't get better than that.
Dr WHO GIRLS? you are are all so parochial.

Were you really a spotty youth in 2002-3 Rob? How fast they grow up nowadays. Something to do with chlorine or cattle hormones no doubt.
I could never stand Dr Who in any of the versions. Magical fantasy carp for seven-year-olds, no use at all for anyone over 10. Only the ignorance and stupidity of the TV audience can explain its success.

I'm with ^this^ giza.........as Dog would say.
The only reason any mature red-blooded man would watch Dr Who was this lady...

RIP Sarah Jane.......industrial strength sweetie !

Still pretty foxy today. She follows my twitter account, for some reason.

Sarah Jane....brown bread....:-(

Nimoy was fed up being constantly associated with Spock....The story goes that wanting
to be taken more seriously he auditioned for the RSC as Hamlet....
He began declaiming the famous speech
To be or not to be......
..... that is illogical Captain....
|
Perhaps he was for a time, but given that he entitled his second autobiography "I am Spock" and signed his last ever twitter messages LLAP, I guess he came to terms with it.
