Quite a spectacular one actually, by the ghastly conceited posturing Madonna. Wearing a huge, silly dress she didn't know how to undo, the alleged singer was jerked off her feet by an 'aide' in an attempt to help her, and landed on her nyash in the orchestra pit with an 'audible thump'.
Like a trouper, she got up and claimed rather disappointingly that she was 'fine', before making a narrow-eyed reference to Armani.
The aide will soon be found dead in a ditch of course, and Giorgio Armani will never get another commission. You don't screw up with that gal if you know what's good for you.

Armani is reckoned to be worth $7-8bn: 10 times Madge's stack.
He's also 80 yrs old.
I doubt he gives a toot.

>> I doubt he gives a toot.
Probably not. Even if he lives on virgins' blood transfusions, he won't starve. But isn't Armani a 'brand'? It's a question of market image, not nutrition.
Hell hath no fury like a stringy old doll whose huge silly dress doesn't work properly. I should sell your Armani shares pronto Lygonos.
:o}

A remarkably professional recovery from a significant fall! - listen to the words as she continues to sing.
|
The other thing I have in common with Madge is her age. I took a dive off the steps of a library where we do an outreach on Monday....overloaded with computer bag, rucksack full of man stuff, briefcase and papers I fell with a sickening thud on my boat-race. My colleague a world weary ex- Professor didn't crack even a smile.
Like Madonna I was uninjured and was on my feet in a flash, broken watch strap apart none the worse - strap which survived being unseated from my bike a couple of years ago...
Marrell, Next and the WoolOvers may never get another commission...

Yeah, yeah, yeah....you were wearing an Armani cape.... admit it man. Then the librarian pulled the cape in a pre-arranged sequence, but you'd forgotten to undo the clasp. Nothing to be embarrassed about...;-)

Yes, we were watching it live, and the fall was quite shocking (dancer behind her was pulling off her cape as she was climbing stairs, but she hadn't (for whatever reason) undone it so got yanked backwards).
Excellent 'show must go on' effort, although to be honest I would have preferred it if she'd been singing a song we all know. Perhaps, at 56, not 'Like a Virgin' though :)
Thought Sam Smith's performance was the highlight of the evening. Fantastic voice, pitch perfect, and great staging; I wonder whether the orchestral musicians allowed their own instruments to be painted white, or demanded substitutes?
Kanye West was funny - only heard half the song as they had to keep cutting the sound due (presumably) to the language, despite it being after 9...
Overall the live acts (including Royal Blood) made it quite entertaining, and Ant & Dec did a reasonable job, not too many cringe-worthy moments.

Er... poor choice of words :)
This was a song - and what a nice young man:

Indeed, had the voice track carried on that would have been the clincher. You have to give to to the old girl, she dun good in the circs.

"He's also 80 yrs old."
Madonna not that far short
"Old woman falls over" doesn't seem to newsworthy though.
|
I thought she was doing some kind of tribute to Allo Allo.
The fallen Madonna with the big boobies.

Flatterer.
I hadn't realised you went for stringy old dolls BBD. I had the impression you preferred the marshmallow type.

"I hadn't realised you went for stringy old dolls BBD. I had the impression you preferred the marshmallow type."
I started compiling a doable list a few weeks ago. In no particular order (or all at the same time), but the first three are absolute musts.
Sigourney Weaver 65
Debbie Harry 66
Marilu Henner 62
Jo Whiley 49
Joely Richardson 50
Jemma Redgrave 50
Julianne Moore 54
Anette O'Toole 62
Miranda Richardson 56
Catherine Tate 46
Ronni Ancona 46
Mel Chisholme 41
Red haired-mature babes occur frequently don't they.
|
Debbie Harry was quite cute when she first appeared, but Sigourney Weaver confirms your taste for stringy old babes... you didn't confuse her with the alien did you?
Haven't a clue who most of the others are. I blame social media for these 'to do' lists.
|
Extra points for fact that Joely and Jemma are cousins?
|
>> Seen her knickers - tick
...but not knockers? Find that hard to believe.
|
Yesterday's front-page Matt cartoon in the comic was very funny about the pratfall. Really made me laugh.
|
Thanks Focusless. I'd forgotten that today's was quite good too.
