Can anybody help me with a UK telephone number I can call from abroad.

The number I have is 0845 246 3761 and I can;t find an alternative.

I just discovered that they've taken quite a few hundreds covering almost 3 yrs premiums from an account I rarely use for a policy I cancelled on a car I sold 3 years ago and I want the money back.

Since I can prove the sale of the car, my exit from the country and prove I cancelled the policy, then I thought they'd just have given it back. It seems not.

They will though.


p.s. let's not bother telling me that I should have noticed before, I know that. I just didn't.

I remember I had two policies running for my car for a year - hadn't realised the original had auto renewed.

Explained to them both and they both returned 50% if I remember correctly. It apparently is quite a common problem.

If they took the money by DD, go to your bank and ask them to refund under the direct debit guarantee.
