Death reported today of an old schoolmate of mine...Warren Clarke, the Dalziel & Pascoe actor.

Real name Alan Clarke, He was one of a group of us that used to hang out together in the early 60s. He was a couple of years younger but we let him mix with the big boys. Lived with his parents and sister on a local council estate.

A fine actor...IMO. Gruff and bluff...face like a Bulldog.... RIP.

There was something else he used to be in that I watched several years ago. Will have to look up his acting career to see if it rings any bells.

I was lucky enough to have met him on a number of occasions, one of which I spent 10-15 minutes having a chat about various things.
Very nice man, and I will personally miss him.

I seem to remember him being the owner of the football club, with, I think, Cheri Lunghi as the manager.
