This afternoon there were reports of a helicopter crash at Flamborough cliffs on the East Yorks coast. As it has developed it appears to be a 'private' Bell Jet Ranger with two occupants who have unfortunately not survived. Travelling from Scotland to Retford Notts and due to refuel at Humberside Airport.
Very early reports indicated the origin was from Scotland before details re type of aircraft, occupants etc were known. I must confess to having thoughts of certain members of the SNP being on board. Shame on me.

Hot air would have kept them aloft if it was.

Aircraft reported to be G SUEX, an Agusta-Bell 206B built in in 1978 in Italy under Bell's license agreement with Agusta.
Had a couple of previous UK register entries as G-BTWW and G-BYBC (nothing unusual in that).
