Look at your watch or other digital display, (ideally with a date on it) this afternoon shortly after 2pm, for the delights of seeing

What with you being a pagan, Dog, I thought you would have kept with the Julian calendar and know that it really is the 28 November today.

I remember at school a teacher getting everyone excited about 6/6/66. And by a coincidence this morning I heard someone say his wifes birthday was easy to remember because she was born on 6/6/66!

I remember well celebrating my Dad's 35th birthday on 7/7/77. 7/7 not such a happy date these days of course. My wife's twin brothers have 11/9 (proper British format) for their birthday.

Just the teeniest thread drift.

About now is the shortest afternoon of the year. The sun set at 3:51 p.m. from Monday December 10th to Saturday December 14th.

So from Sunday it will be accurate to say "The evenings are drawing out now".
