I wish:)

I bet that comes from ill-gotten gains from where it was found!

Yes it looks like the boys may have singed it a little getting the cashpoint open and though best to dump.

I expect an illegal immigrant (probably Albanian/Roma) dropped it out of the window of his Range Rover whilst disposing of his MacDonalds wrappers in a hedge on the way back to his 5 bedroom (heavily subsidised) council house from the benefit office in Boston. He won't miss it, he'll get the same wodge next week after all.

Actually the missus is in Lincoln today. I'll just call and check she didn't lose any loose change.

Funny you should say that, there is a Romany Museum nearby.

They're not all like that.

Shortly after I arrived at work this morning at 3.30am we hard an almighty bang at the front of the yard. On investigation there was a Ford Focus on it's roof on the forecourt and a EU gentleman walking around looking dazed. It was icy and he clipped the kerb.

We assumed drink, drugs or worse but no, he was on his way to work at a potato factory deep in the Fen. He was in shock and I sat with him and listened to him.

All he could say was he didn't have money to pay a fine, he didn't have money for recovery of the vehicle and pleaded with me to take him to work. He didn't want his wife and 2 babies waking up at home by being told what had happened.
He then remembered the Focus had a full tank of diesel and cried.....

Yes, it was shock BUT I'd like to bet he didn't finish his last shift until 10pm last night and travelled around 20 miles to Peterborough and had to be back in again at 5am.

His injuries appeared to be superficial but the Police called an ambulance to get him checked over...after they checked on askmid to see if the car was insured, which it was.

I felt so, so sorry for him.

I think, Pat, that you may have missed the TIC nature of my contribution..........

Smiley failure again.

Terrible story, yours. Hope the chap recovers. And I hope his insurance was comprehensive.

I meant to add, I really wasn't getting at you Alanovic, just wanted to point out how hard it is for some even though they work so hard.
I know the firm he works for well, and I can't get him out of my mind today, he really was in despair.

Yet there are so many, of all nationalities who expect those f us who work to keep them.

Sorry!

I would do too.

But whatever job he is doing should instead be the preserve of some lazy waste of space who was told firmly that if he didn't get off his backside and go and do it he could forget about benefits in any shape or form whatsoever, and he could also provide his own cardboard box to sleep under every night if he couldn't afford the rent.

I've nothing against economic immigrants bettering themselves by coming here to work, good luck to them, but not being let in to excuse the politicians from having the courage to tackle our own sizeable army of long term scroungers.

And no, that is not an attack on the genuine claimants, but the ones (and I've known plenty) who have no intention of working while they can get away with it.
