Multiple buying of white goods - legacylad
Various family members are all in the process of buying assorted, fairly expensive, consumer goods. Mother wants a cordless GTECH AirRam vac, niece an Ipad4, nephew a glass TV stand, myself a half decent Soundbar to go with my new (to me) second hand Sony TV
We agreed to pool our purchases to obtain the best deal, and silly me offered to do the deed. My initial thought was easy...just get a new store credit card, ie J Lewis and get 10% of everything for the first month. Only they don't do that! Nor does anyone else to the best of my knowledge.
Any suggestions anyone before I have to eat mouthfuls of humble pie. Thanks all.

Hopefully someone will have a better answer, but these items are too unrelated to be able to get them all at bargain prices from one supplier or via one pooled cashback card.

Might be worth a few hours on Amazon and take the very cheapest prices then opt for their free delivery offer (if not already free del)...can't remember exactly what it terms are but a quick browse will reveal if worth it.

All individual searches from differing suppliers though i suspect.

Possibly useful is the browser extension called InvisibleHand.

Basically you dive off to the internet - such as Amazon - and find a product, and if it sees a cheaper price somewhere else on another site it pops up and tells you so.

Works with stuff like car rental too apparently but not browsed for car rental myself so don't know.

Handy little thing, thanks CC, downloaded in seconds too.

I suppose it to be obvious of course that it will probably be sending your browsing habits to the owners of Invisible Hand, if you care. I don't myself, but just pointing it out!

The manager at your local currys will give you 10% off the total value for multiple high value goods purchases.

Thanks for all your replies.
The important one was the lightweight vac for my old Mum...seems like they are all sold @ £199 but Lakeland currently offer a £50 wine voucher (Naked Wines, never heard of them). More importantly, if she doesn't like it she can return it for a full credit. That exceeded my expectations.

Or you could drink it instead.

hohoho. CP, you would fit in seamlessly with the 'early doors' club.

I'd probably get most of them used but as new on Ebay. You could save £100 on the vac alone, the soundbar should come less than half price, glass TV stands often go for 99p in immacuate condition etc etc.

The IPad I might source new from the best deal online.

I've just fitted a 5:1 sound system to this PC. New around £80 but bought as new in box on Ebay collected from 5mls away... £9.

Naked Wines.

An expensive way to buy wine. Very complicated pricing structure, and almost impossible to get the full discounts they promise. The £50 voucher is just a marketing gimmick - it's not like a Tesco voucher.

One of those nasty marketing ploys where you get their product every month or two unless you tell them to desist
