Speaka Da Anglaise? - Robin O'Reliant
Watching the cycling world road championships over the weekend which took place in Italy I was surprised to see the road markings in English, "Stop" and "Bus" being noticeable. Can anyone explain?

"Stop". Is a standard European road sign as is the word "Bus"

Italy, like most countries in Europe, are signed up to the Vienna Convention on Road Signs.
