There's a fascinating interactive thing on the Guardian website, outlining the way salvage experts plan to right and refloat the Costa Concordia, starting next week.
Apparently it will cost half a billion euros to get it as far as the scrapper's.

For anyone with a bit of time on their hands ...............
I was following a particular ship coming down the Kiel Canal using marine traffic.com, when I found a webcam looking out over the canal - and was able to watch the ship go past. I hope the links work.....

Looking around the for webcams, I found one on Giglio overlooking the Costa Concordia so presumably it will reveal the salvage operation

I have been through the Kiel Canal many moons ago very nice.I think they took a gamble with the salvage company Titan.They are working with a Italian outfit to raise the vessel.
On television tomorrow Sky, the lifting of the Costa Concordia.
