The grand-daughter had a nice turn of phrase:

“Mags enjoyed living with her family on the Raploch estate, where she became known and had many friends [and many enemies, no doubt]...

“She touched people’s lives in many different ways [including destroying some of them].”

What a wonderfully elliptical description.
