I was not aware of a green sun until I was shown a recent photo of a green flash at sunset.
Have any of you well travelled folks seen this happening?

(I have however been lucky to see the sun rise in the west )

In his novel "Island in the Sun" Alec Waugh (brother of Evelyn) mentions this as a regular (but very fleeting) evening phenomenon in the West Indies.
