Last thing at night, while me tablets start working, I like to relax from you lot arguing by getting in a train cab and having a trip through unknown ( to me ) territory.
A couple of weeks ago I found one which involved a trip on a rickety, time expired single track in Burma. Built by the Brits, it involved two switchbacks , called Zick Zack stations to get over the mountains. It was a 4 hour+ trip.
After that was over I found the one I'm currently watching, a Springtime run from Trondheim to Bodo. This one is just short of 10 hours, all in one go ! Stunning scenery from the farmland of the South to the fjords, rock cuttings and snow of the North. Spirited driving . I'm 7 hours in now, just 30 mins or so a night. Cheap travel !
Sad ??

Went up and down that line in 1976.
Can't remember much about it , except going through Hell.
