Calm down girls, they said they're getting their wellies out.

Good of the old boys to perform... hope Keith has his "one strum input = whole series of riffs output" pedal connected.
Daughter was looking at the lineup this morning with a view to going with mates.
I'd be pleased to see...
Stones
Dizzee Rascal
The Vaccines
Pro Green
Alabama Shakes
Seasick Steve
Cat Power
Palma Violets
Lucinda Willaims
Seth Lakeman
KT Tunstall
The Infinite Monkey Cage
...but I hate tents and my wellies leak.

It would be pure agony and physical discomfort to me just as it will be for the poor old Stones, helicopter and hot-and-cold running drugs notwithstanding. I hope the old dears wrap up warm and wear oilskins if necessary. You can't be too careful at their age.
|
Heard this one last autumn, nothing to confirm or deny it except some oblique comments (mainly by Keith, and more than once) when asked whether they will be doing another tour this year.
|
Fantastic live act, provided they stick to pre 1975 numbers. They've done nothing of note since, the last single in particular, Doom and Gloom, was pathetic.
|
Don't like Voodoo Lounge (1994) then? I find it oozes nicely from a powerful hi-fi.

First festival ticket = £1
This year £205 + booking fee + parking and all sold within hours. Recession! What recession?

OK, call it a monkey with drink, drugs and food added. Many have saved up for one of the highlights of the year.
God how awful it was, being young.

Actually the Stones are quite likely to put in a good sheisskicking number or two. I hope the old farmer breaks even at least because they must want a couple of king's ransoms just for turning up, knowImean?
I have often boasted here of seeing them before they were famous, or even any good actually. And again live in the park after the death of the hip guitar player with the pink eyes. I was miles away from the speakers and more interested in the first visible skinhead gangs who turned up there, 12 years old, crop-headed and wearing red DMs and cute little rolled-up cheapo blue jeans with red yuppie braces before their time. Yes comrades, I was there. For what it's worth.
I asked a passing copper - they were everywhere - who those boys were. Cutting straight to the chase and getting me wrong - it often happens alas - he replied: 'Don't worry about them sir. We've got our eye on them. Red boots? That's probably all they have to wear where they come from sir.'
Goddam Met. Really annoying sometimes.

Never mind a bit of Dog House... think I have most of his more recent CDs.
This live version of Walkin' Man is worth a watch too.

I'm a desiccated follower of fashion music, and even own 4 guitars .. Seasick Steve's Dog House very much reminds me of a piece from Canned Heat back in the 60's:
