I'd heard of Tenovus but not known much about it. Then saw this on the BBC website:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-21043661
Interesting to know 10 blokes in South Wales (hence Ten of us) started a charity that led to a cancer research/charity/treatment/care organisation that includes in its achievements the use of Tamoxifen for breast cancer treatment.
Humbling. How a few people can make so much difference to lives.

I haven't heard of them for forty years and knew little of their work.
However back in the early 1970s while still at school I had a weekly "pools" round collecting for them. I seem to remember you were allocated football teams and the highest aggregate score for your teams won.
That was in South London so I'm surprised to see they are South Wales based.
I can't remember much about it but I do remember one customer who looked and spoke just like Arthur Mullard!
