We have a Virgin+ box. SWM recorded a few things for the kids over Chrimbo.....Snowman stuff, Gruffalo, etc.
OK all nicely in the box, now she wants some on DVD. I did one a couple of evenings ago through the V+extras programme, tested it in another player and it was fine. Last night I put another couple of short progs onto DVD using the same method. Good picture but no sound. Checked the scarts ( French devilment ) but all seem secure. Any ideas.
The TV has 5 sources, TV,HDM1,HDM4,AV1 and AV2 . We watch and record in HDM4 mode. I noticed this evening that If I try to watch cable in HDM1, it's silent. DVD playback is in HDM1 as well.
I have a film recording ATM by putting in a blank disc, running a recorded film in HDM4 and pressing ' record ' on the DVD recorder. I'll see if anything's come out in the morning.
