The wages aren't that good, but promotion to become a seller is a possibility, I suppose.

To be fair this advertised job is the "clerical" end of things so pay about right.

A few promotions and nearly 10yrs ago Mrs F managed a team of such people.... air not water though. She found involvement with the hardware very interesting and it led to some unique "outings".

Why does this thread title make me think of a seedy George Cole figure standing on a quay next to a row of rusty, foundering old frigates, MTBs and a WW1 submarine or two?

Perhaps his minder would be an embittered old matelot drummed out of the fleet years ago for excessive drunkenness and selling government stores.

Hounded by the Grammar Police I seem to recall. Shame.

Also the Toyota dealer whose handle escapes me, and Workshop Tech to name three erstwhile insider posters. Would love to see all those three back.
