hi room, ive obtained an electric oil filled radiator electrolux but has no flex connected
what i need to know is what wire goes where? it has a 3 wire box connector .. left, middle and right...the one on the right is the earth wire which is connected to the radiator casing and the middle one is connected to the variable heat output knob and the left one is connected directly to the to the heater element pin, do i connect the live wire from the flex directly to the heater element connection on the box connector or do i connect it through the heater contol knob connector? i hope that makes sense ....cheers

I doubt it matters too much being a simple resistive device, but I would connect the live to the switch - that way when off you are limiting the amount of the device that is connected to the live main.

When connections are Left / Middle / Right the live is usually the furthest away from the earth.

thanks for the concerns regarding my well being ... anyway heaters working ok house still in one peice, it should come in handy if we have a cold snap as my heating system for the house is economy 7 storage heating and you have to think ahead or you end up with a cold house if you dont switch the heating on over night, but on the positive side its very cheap to run about 6 pence per kwh....would be cheap to run a lecky car from it i imagine

Like your heating you have to think ahead, a lecky car dictates when you can use it. Probably why they are few and far between.

I had a flat like that a few years ago, out in a village where there was no mains gas. Most annoying it was. If it's freezing when you come in from work, you turn the heaters up - then it won't be freezing when you come in tomorrow night :(
