Website for photo sharing - BobbyG
In laws had their Golden Wedding party on Sat night with loads of friends and relatives there from all over Britain. All, of course, were taking photos.
Can someone receommed a photo sharing website that

is free
would allow anyone who I gave the details to, to upload photos to it and also download photos from it
but no one could delete photos from it (ie leaving me some sort of admin control over it?)

Does such a site exist?

Photobox can do this we managed it with our Wedding photos. You could also set up a closed group on Facebook.

A shared folder on DropBox (or pretty much any of the "cloud storage" services) will do the job perfectly. Avoid the Microsnot one as it does not offer clients for Windows versions prior to Vista[1].
Far simpler than the specialist photo sites IMHO and being aimed at shared storage use, tend to offer better "who can do what" control.

[1] The irony in the fact that MS's offering has the poorest Windows support of all of 'em is wonderful.

Photobucket can set up passworded groups.

I've got one. Anyone I give the password to can view it, but only I can alter the contents. There are limits on the bandwidth for the free service, but it was enough for me.

Picasa can do this too. You can create a private link and anyone with the link can only view the pictures.

You can re-generate the link later if you want.
