For those interested, this is a scale model in absolutely intricate detail, of a Swedish 17th C warship, the Vasa.
Even if you are not a model maker, have a look and marvel at the patience and time (7 years) involved in creating this.

Nice little obby Dodger but - I'm more interested in the original boat which was also one of the largest and most heavily armed warships of its thyme.
No expense was spared in decorating and equipping the Vasa but it sank after just a few minutes on its maiden over due to being top heavy (like a few byrds I know) and not aving enough ballast (blimmin idiots!!)

How cool to have such an all-consuming interest. I've had some hobbies in my time, but nothing that's caught me that strongly.
Seems like a pleasant guy as well.
