Here Kitty Kitty... - Runfer D'Hills
Nasty, but morbidly fascinating story...

If you thought you'd had a bad day,

Makes your blood run cold doesn't it.

These nutters aren't all that unusual though. They long to stare a polar bear or gang of lionesses down to see if their dads were right... there's a case like that somewhere in the world every couple of years.

That'll learn him.

They might have been "eating him alive" at the start of their meal, but I bet they weren't towards the end.

Typical of the press to get it wrong!!! ;-)

Where's iffy when you want him?

he wasn't killed for food anyway, they killed him because he was on their turf. They are too fat and happy to go killing for food.

"He added that as the incident was "not their fault", the tigers would not be put down."

In what circumstances are tigers judged to be "at fault"? Do they hold a trial to determine guilt and mental capacity?

Now now, no bleeding heart liberals allowed on here, you know that. The tigers need to be tortured and hung.

And no-way was he eaten alive! - the first bite is always to the throat (which he had) and would have probably killed him instantly by breaking his neck rather than suffocation, so he was probably dead when they had their midnight snack!

It happened in a zoo. Presumably they'll arrange a kangaroo court.

I prefer Hilaire Belloc's version

"He hadn't gone a yard when BANG
With open jaws a lion sprang
And hungrily began to eat
The boy, beginning at his feet
Now just imagine how it feels
When first your toes and then your heels
And then by varying degrees
Your shins and ankles, calves and knees
Are slowly eaten bit by bit
No wonder Jim detested it "

lions dont eat live prey, they go for the throat then throttle the prey until its dead ...then they chomp away

Allegedly, Tony, one of the tigers, was heard to remark that yesterday's breakfast was "Grrrrreat"

His comment was received somewhat frostily, a reporter wrote...

Ok Ok don't milk it.

At least the press didn't sugar coat the story....

If they wanted a dramatic head-line, they could have stated that he was killed alive, would have been nearer the mark!

You can book a tug-of-war with one our local zoo's tigers. It takes about 12 people to match him, I believe...
Here Kitty Kitty... - Cliff Pope
Incredibly, that is true. I thought they had outlawed that kind of taunting and deemining animal stuff along with chimpanzees' tea parties and lions jumping through flaming hoops.

I was appalled a few years ago to see staff at Longleat deliberately provoking a rhinocerous to put on a "wild" display for visiors by charging it with an armoured bulldozer.

Let's have cock fighting and bear baiting while we are at it, if we can't do the civilised thing and just feed visitors to the tigers.

It's for that very reason Cliff, that I've never been to a circus....and neither do I want to.

>cock fighting and Bear Baiting.

Lets go the whole hog, we have time to change the Games Itinerary.

Monday : Christians vs Lions
Tuesday: Thracians v Spartans
Wednesday: Chariot Races

And by Thursday, with all this rain, the arena should be sufficiently flooded to stage a full mock naval battle, Roman Galleys take on Carthage.

Wont need G4S to do a thing.

I once had a jigsaw puzzle of a tiger, I found it very difficut to match the pieces ......

SWMBO then came along and said ' put the Frosties back in the box'.........
