Yeah, good stuff. I bought Architecture & Morality when it came out, and it's a top album.
I actually prefer Joan of Arc (the non-waltz):

and Messages (off earlier eponymous album) still sounds good when I hear it on Absolute 80s:

I love OMD, so many great tunes and could have been one of Factory's biggest success stories but I guess they had the common sense to leave them. If OMD had stuck with Factory I doubt they would have been as successful.
I would say Electricity is my favourite song of theirs.

That was my favourite record for a time when it came out, but it hasn't aged as well as some of their other stuff for me.
Hey Rats, my son's finally making me proud - his rock school group are doing 'Big mouth strikes again' for their next performance. And I didn't put him up to it; I wouldn't dare, as Mrs F hates The Smiths! (That's 15 year old son, not metal drummer stepson.)

Maid of Orleans is one of my all time faves. The drumming......
Remember putting it on in the car (pug 104 c1983) and, just for a second, worrying that the noise was from the mechanicals and not the speakers.
