My mate, who was a Wizard in a previous life reckons that the 1st trick is performed with a magnetic ring on his right hand, one of the coins having some ferrous content, and plenty of misdirection.
He hasn't got a clue about the 2nd one though.

2nd one - two of the three coins on the top are a spring loaded trick item- when he taps the glass from underneath (with the third coin in his hand already) the two spring loaded ones "ping" together, one inside the other, to make it seem as if one has disappeared. You can see they don't lie right when he first puts them on the surface.
