The Economist suggests that Scotland would have a hard time after independence.

Well if they go independent then:
The English should reassign civil servants back to the UK
Not allow the £ to be used as their currency.
Remove our RAF bases.
Remove out army camps.
Get our new aircraft carriers built on the Tyne.
Get them to bail out the failed HBOS and RBS.

Why not take the opportunity to dump as many as possible in Scotland?
|
These sweaties are just delusional!
Look at this bloke, who's smoking some weed or other:
"Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes he can bring the Scottish champions a Champions League title nearly 50 years after the 'Lisbon Lions' won the European Cup."
|
I was having some lively banter over dinner with a dozen male friends recently, most were born and bred Scottish. The general feeling was that no one in their right mind would support independence and it had not been thought through by those in favour. On a motoring theme who would administer road tax, MOTs, driving licences, etc.? A foreign country would not be interested, in the grand scheme the revenue loss to England would be minimal and far outweighed by not having to pay benefits, or for the NHS in Scotland.

Neil Lennon is from Northern Ireland.
Typical English ignorance there Ian ;-)

Anyhats - Lennon is smoking his socks.
Scotland has done sweet FA (sweet SFA?) in Europe for a fair few years.
How many Celtic and Rangers players are actually Scottish?
Jockland has become a stepping stone for players trying to get into the English Premiership.
|
>>How many Celtic and Rangers players are actually Scottish?
I think this holds with Premiership teams too.
|
Again, look at my address!
But truth be told, the majority of the useless-numpty English squad (yes, we saw the worthless gits here in 2010) are playing for a top-six side in England.
|
I know where Cape Town is Ian, I'm not an American ).
|
Americans assume it is near Cape Cod!
|
Jij bedoelt Kaapstad Ian.Nu de Hollanders weg zijn is alles goed daar bij jullie.De zwarten leven nu in rijkdom.>;)
|
Surely Cape Town is where they wear Macs?
I'll get my coat.
