I like to think of my self as fairly web savvy - had looked (and failed) for the new 'old' forum following an oblique reference to deserters several days ago on the hj test site. Did one of the mods defect with a list of email addresses? But I wasn't emailed! It took an explicit link this am for me to find the address, but I guess that the posting will not last for long.
I knew that hj was in trouble when I was asked to join as as a moderator. I hope to continue here with my sometime irreverent and 'pompous' intellectual postings that may have upset some in the past;)

No. What happened was during the chaos of changing forum software someone posted a link ( www.khoosys.net/single.htm?ipg=91 ) which mentioned car4play. The link was subsequently removed, but by that time a handful of people had come across. Those people must have been in contact with other Backroomers and spread the word.
