Hi,

I am looking for an old thread. It showed a link to a web site that listed all cars by registration year. The reason for needing the information is that none of the insurance web sites have the car I want to insure (for a relative) listed and as I don't think it is a rare car I would like to know how many were registered.

Any ideas please?

What car is it? It might be listed under a different heading.

It is nothing special. A Nissan Micra Tekna 1.2 auto. Not one of the 30 or so insurers that I have looked at has it as a model. They have the 1.4. When I call them they say they have to refer to underwriters and that will put the cost up!

Are you absolutely sure it is a 1.2? Even V5s can be wrong.

I have not delved as far as the engine, but the badge on the side says 1.2.

I have seen a very standard looking Micra with a V8 badge on the back. :-)

If it is the new model, Google finds it easily including reviews from well known mags. judging by the dates of the reviews it may be too new to be in the insurers common data base especially as it is not made in the uk.

Thanks - it is the only one that it is on!

I had used two others that are heavily advertised and it is not on theirs as well as some direct only.

Also, when I go directly to the ones that Confused recommends then its not on their list so I wonder how accurate the quote would be in the event of a claim would they quibble?.

Honest John have this model listed within the review for the Micra They also have a section for insurance groups, and show group 11 for this model.
