 AUTOeBID - Clk Sec
I am hoping to replace my modest limousine over the next 12 months or so, and I wondered if any forum members have bought their cars through AUTOeBID in the past?

They have some very positive customer comments on their website.

May all your dreams be good ones.

The cogs have started turning in the back of my mind about a replacement.

If the Volvo main dealers don't get it right then I may be in the market for a replacement. I love the sound of the five pot but I'm also reading up on the current version of a previous trusty companion. SWMBO'd has the family transport, or shed as I like to call it as I currently feel like wiping my feet when I get out of it. 3 door Golf GTi is on the list with it's diet 4 pot.

Could be tempted if there is a Jetta or whatever it's called these days equivalent.

Volvo v50 any of the five pots. Like a very much better Focus !

Crap key though

:-) I love the sound it makes and if they (the dealers) get their act together in the dealership I may have many happy more miles behind the wheel. My car is barely run in at 75k.
If I have to jump ship then I have many happy memories at the wheel of a Mk2 GTi. Focus ST was on the list until I found CC was missing even as an option.

The one we bought at has a good reputation, long established family dealership in Llnfairpwll etc etc

Bit of a drive from Cologne. I would hope Volvo have a reliable dealership somewhere between the two.

Did you check the key Rob for the difference between the lock and unlock keys ?

I agree between the illuminate (yellow button) and triggering the alarm (red triangle button). My digits don't allow me to feel the difference between a small circle and a triangle in the dark only tracking the position of my thumb on the key fob let's me picture what's where.

I guess you'll get used to the key. It's also used for S40s, and has been since 2006. Perhaps they would have redesigned it by now if they'd had lots of complaints?!

Had a V50 D5 in late 2006 for a couple of years, with the autobox. I'm a Volvo fan but I'd have to concede that BMW do a less gruff engine IMHO.

Good comment about the size of the front seats. The V50's driver's seat felt a bit small for me (6-foot plus) and definitely not as big or comfy as the S60 that preceded it.

17-or 18-inch wheels? 17-inch gave me a firm-enough ride, dreaded to think what the ride on 18ers would be like...

17" - ride is fine on it, wife complaining that it was soft compared to the MX5 - she's a petrolhead.
 AUTOeBID - Roger.
Skoda Octavia Estate?

As always, thanks for the valued responses.
