TBH I thought they already had. Thought I had read the brand was axed about 12 months ago as the credit crunch had eliminated most people stupid enough to buy one (except that Theo chap who sells knickers)

I think MB were trying to be too clever when they used the Maybach label.
I suspect most of the world ( outside Germany) look blank at the name.
MB is known in most of the world so why did they not build on that name ?
Of course they also styled it with an ugly stick. The only exposure they have had here, in the land of Bently & RR, is on Dragons Den /Theo has one.

I remember JC asking Simon Cowell why he had one as it was crap to drive. Cowell said he didn't care as it wasn't a car you buy to drive, it was a car you bought to be driven in
