2/3 months back I got a call offering to upgrade my car cover - Legal Expenses and Breakdown cover - which I refused on cost grounds.

Letter this week offering free Legal cover until renewal date - they say 80% of policyholders take their legal cover and breakdown.

From memory B/down cover was £100 and legal expenses £25
GEM Offer 2 x car cover and legal expenses included for £65

I think Esure needs to do their homework or maybe their policy holders need to do theirs before paying over the odds for cover.

Co-incidentally, SWMBO got a letter from Sheila's wheels giving her free legal cover until renewal (01/12).

I guess at renewal she'll have to tell them to knock it off, a sort of back door method of including it in the premium.
