Boatloads of the best quality used cars have been shipping out every week for some years now.

Try finding a good quality low mileage used car now, plenty of dross out there nackered clocked neglected damaged, East Europeans and Africans are no fools, they have creamed the best off.
I wouldn't be surprised if good used car prices rise.

Yes well written. Original, amusing and entertaining. You don't judge writing quality by spelling mistakes and missing apostrophes. You can always find someone to do that for you. Creativity is what is in short demand not spelling ability. That guy has it.

Brilliant! Another solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Look at them in use, they daren't show them on anything more challenging than an inch of wet slush and even a Merc on rubber bands could cope with that.

I expect little old ladies will snap them up. Now, if only I could invent something equally useless, I could be a millionaire tomorrow.

is 8k a bit steep?
its either this spec or a double6 v12 model but needs to be an x350 model.

Yes, though offers considered.

It looks clean, well put together eBay ad, good history ...

i like that model aswell as the v12 daimler.
i have an XJ-R but its getting old so i gave it to my dad and also got rid of several other cars i dont use so can now make way for an XJ.
some say the x350 is fine with the v6 because its lighter being aluminium.

but the idea of a v8 or v12 gets me excited

A mate bought one a while back, '53' plate, same colour with a light beige interior.

Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it. Being aluminium the power to weight ratio for a big car was incredible. He loved it. Only got rid because his business is doing well and he's now got a Bentley.

For the money it's a serious bit of kit.... yet pleasantly understated as well..... bearing in mind it is in the same league as an RS4 or M5

A former work colleague used to bring his father's XJ-R into the office from time to time. The massive and relentless acceleration these cars have on tap is just grin inducing.
Pulling out of our trading estate, the road was arrow straight and quiet. Something quick like an Accord Type-R or BMW 328i would be doing 80 past a wall we'd use as a marker at a given distance from the standing start. The Jag would pass it at a whisker under a ton. Four-up.

Let me know when you find a V12 X350.

>i have an XJ-R but its getting old so i gave it to my dad and also got rid of several other cars i dont use so can now make way for an XJ.

It's not a bad price but you'll need to take your dad to test drive it for you. The seats, pedals and steering are all electrically adjustable but there's no bolster-seat option for the driver.

They were probably imported from Japan. So originally not available new but due to the strict MOT equivalent in Japan, have found their way here.

Very dodgy. Toyota stopped making that model MR2 in 1999 and it was never available with a 1.8 litre engine - only 2.0 litres and 2.2 for the USA.

I used to have one, a 1994 model T-Bar in metallic blue with black leather interior and the 154bhp engine.

Simply adding a few Ferrari badges doesn't turn it into one.

Bit like that bloke who submitted a picture of a Cavalier Mk3 with a Dodge Charger badge on the back, 01 on the doors, and a Confederate flag painted on the roof. It was still a Mk3 Cavalier, not the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard.

I remember the Rochdale Olympic too. Not a classy motor but not too hideous either.

Ford 100E is a perfectly OK engine from its day (the 1930s really, but it's a 50s improvement) and highly tweakable. The engine of this one is (quite comprehensively according to the blurb) tweaked. It won't be challenging to work on either, but may last quite well.

So that car could easily be - for the right person with the energy to tidy it up - a perfectly pleasant, good-handling, reasonably brisk and economical er, 'classic' fun car.

I wouldn't be surprised if those glassfibre sporting shells were a bit noisy and drummy though. You'd have to drive it to see if it was potentially bearable.

Others think the same - auction ended with no bids.

I see it took 17 months to complete, which makes the Roller - or what's left of it - a 2010 at best.

 TRM3 - DP
It's a beautiful car, and the conversion looks like it was done by BMW themselves.

What spoils it slightly is that it isn't a "proper" M3 engine in the sense that you and I would recognise. It's a stretched version of the standard 3.0 six which was a one off spec used for the American market M3. It's a good 80 bhp down on the real thing.

Still going to shift some, but not quite as ballistic as you might think, I'd wager.
