hi room, is there a correct proceedure for using devices in the car thru the cigar lighter?
ie do you plug in then start the engine or plug in whilst the engine is running? same goes for disconecting too,
why i ask the misses was about to use her sat nav on her posh phone and i wasnt sure if she was going to fry it...thanks

any either or both. It makes no difference, the plug is stepping the voltage down from 13.8 (or 24v) to +5v and will iron out any spikes.
