 Skoda Felicia - Got myself some new winter tyres - Dave
Well, when I say new, I mean new to me. But picked up a set of studded Goodyear Ultra Grip 500, 7mm tread left, 175/70-13, no nails or screws, only a few studs missing, and mounted to the standard Skoda steelies.

Grand price of 1000 kronor, or £110 in your funny money. I shan't put them on until the snow comes, as my current tyres still have about 3mm and good studs.

They are not 'winter tyres' like you'd use in the rest of Europe! Those are studded tyres. They won't normally be much use here :-) Probably not legal either.

Ha, they're 'proper' winter tyres, not 'maybe a bit chilly for a few days, even some slush on the road' tyres.

Unfortunately you can't get accross germany with them fitted. Sometimes the cops wait at the border and turn people back.
