Police can multi-task when they want to.............. 30 years ago a young man jumped off the 4th floor into the basement of the office block next door. We called 999, the 2 x police arrived quickly, looked at the young man and then climbed back from the basement, waived the ambulance away to await the van to pick up the body. In these days the dead were not taken by ambulance (maybe different now). At this the officers went along the lane and booked all the cars whilst awaiting the van - £12.00 x 10 cars - a nice little earner for someone. Reply to this message | Report message
