I followed a green Polo into this section this morning (It's the roadworks with a 50 MPH limit). It obviously had a flat N/S rear tyre. Myself and others tried to warn the woman driver, but she chose to ignore us. I decided to hang back a few hundred yards so as not to be involved in her accident. I could smell the rubber!

She passed two junctions and a service area (Toddington), before stopping in the inside lane (no hard shoulder) with the tyre off the rim.

I wonder how much the delays she subsequently caused cost the people held in the inevitable tail-back she caused?

Haha it's kind of disheartening though when you can see something going wrong but the driver goes into bolt-upright-look-straight-ahead mode.
