Yes, I know its not legal but I had to take my nephew's Corsa to a local indie to have some "brackets" and cable replaced (apparently they all do it !) - odd experience - fully conscious of the problem it's surprising how difficult a hill start can be be without the re-assurance of the h/brake and ~I don't know how many times I pointlessly applied and released it......
Its a very common problem the back box often hits the rear chasis leg damaging the hand brake cable in the process. My dad drove his car for about 4 months without a hand brake or as it turned out rear brakes :(.
Departed secret location in NW at 04.15. Arrived at rendezvous in Kings X at 07.30. Contact made. Documents exchanged. Lunch eaten wearing carnation and carrying rolled up copy of Kit Car Monthly at pre-ordained bench. Returned to base 18.00. Not traced.

I thought the brakes were to stop a car and the handbrake to secure it when parked/stopped ;-)
Fun can be had with the handbrake when moving though.
And how do you do handbrake turns with an electronic parking brake?
