Part of the south Wales M4 could be shut for days.
A contraflow system has been set up in the reopened eastbound tunnel but there were warnings of continued delays.

Now a call for an M4 bypass !

I shall have to use the tunnel on Saturday - hopefully not too many holdups. Coming back on Sunday I shall avoid motorways heading north and only get on one near Chester :-)

I did know about this and should have posted something myself earlier. Thanks HenryK.

BBC Wales news tonight, shows the tunnel having been re-opened, all essential services, including re-laying the road-surface has been done, apparently the internal lighting is still to be repaired and consequently there is a speed limit in the tunnel. All done in very short-order, the place was a mess according to the telly-pictures.
