That's 2", hardly a pothole at all by UK standards, just a normal poor road surface.

In our area they send a man round first with a white or yellow spray can to mark the bits for the maintenance men to fix.
Try adding a few extra sections yourself after he has gone, and the men will cheerfully fix anything you mark :)
