Whenever inclement weather is forecast I find myself tracking its progress on the Traffic England motorway cameras: www.trafficengland.com/
It's just occurred to me that the other 3 countries in the UK might have their own sites, as indeed appears to be the case: trafficscotland.org/ www.traffic-wales.com/ www.trafficwatchni.com/
The last one is especially interesting as you can watch live video feeds rather than just still photos!

Yip, I do the same on the Traffic Scotland cameras. There was one particular cracking scene on the A9 camera in Janauary with a blue sky, toad totally covered in snow with just a trace of tracks through it. Was very picture skew :)

Go to the traffic scotland, live eye views, and select the camera on the A9 (roughly in the middle of the map - fantastic snowy scene just now!)

>> very picture skew
You listen to Steve Wright, don't you? ;-)
I wasted a good hour one day last week Street View'ing my way up and over the Hardknott Pass, most enjoyable.

'fraid not Dave, was a phrase my dad has used since I was but a lad!!

>>toad totally covered in snow
Parp parp! ;>)

|
Camera 924 facing south - veritable winter wonderland.

Thats the one - what a view, a picture postcard!
|
...that's the one...
Yes, quite regularly updated, too.
One minute there were a few trucks on the road, next there were none.
